Citizen celebrates half a century of light-powered horology, Eco-Drive solar innovation with two striking limited-edition timepieces. These models belong to the famous Attesa Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS F950 family.
Both references capture rare atmospheric light phenomena created by the interplay of the sun and earth. The Citizen engineers drew direct aesthetic inspiration from breathtaking, elusive light displays occurring across global skies.

The CC4084-83Z model embodies the Power of Green Flash phenomenon. This rare flash occurs momentarily when the sun sets below a clear ocean horizon.
The companion CC4085-81Z model captures the Power of Purple Aurora instead. This design reflects glowing purple auroral curtains dancing across freezing polar night skies.
Both models translate shifting natural light into sophisticated wristwear using advanced material finishing.
Specification

Each watch housing measures 44.6mm in total diameter. The cases feature a bold profile with a thickness of 15.4mm.
Citizen crafts the full case structures using light, durable Super Titanium material. Surface hardening treatments significantly enhance scratch resistance while preserving a comfortable wrist feel.

The CC4084-83Z blends dark Duratect DLC with rich Duratect Amber Yellow accents. In contrast, the CC4085-81Z pairs deep Duratect DLC with warm Duratect Pink highlights.
A dual spherical sapphire crystal shields the dial face on both references. Citizen applies high-grade clarity coating onto the glass to eliminate optical glare.

This advanced anti-reflective treatment ensures effortless time telling even under harsh direct sunlight. A top sapphire bezel ring adds intense depth and scratch protection.
Both timepieces offer robust water resistance rated up to 100 meters. A matching Super Titanium bracelet securely fastens each timepiece to the wrist.
The solid multi-link bracelet features a standard lug width of 22mm. The bracelet sizing adjusts comfortably between 138 mm and 204mm.
Surface hard-coating processes protect every single titanium link against daily wear scuffs. A 3-fold push-button clasp prevents accidental opening during daily physical movement.
Dial, Movement, and Advanced Features

The dial artfully showcases intricate optical layers to recreate atmospheric luminescence with the date window positioned at 4:30 o’clock.
The CC4084-83Z displays a deep green structural color film under black radial gradients. Fine line engravings on the sapphire bezel radiate outgoing bursts of emerald light.

The CC4085-81Z utilizes a textured black main dial face with three-dimensional pattern printing. Its sub-dials showcase iridescent structural films shifting between vibrant purple and electric blue. A graduating purple-to-blue vapor deposition treatment adorns its outer sapphire bezel ring.
Citizen drives both timepieces using the top-tier in-house Caliber F950 movement. This quartz movement receives solar power through proprietary Eco-Drive technology.

The high-speed Caliber F950 drives watch hands swiftly using independent dual-coil motors. Power save functionality enables continuous operation for up to 5 full years. Non-receptive monthly accuracy remains within ±5 seconds.
The Satellite Wave GPS engine connects directly with orbiting navigation satellites. It achieves accurate time signal reception in as fast as 3 seconds.

The Double Direct Flight feature enables simple switching across 39 world time zones. Complications include a high-precision 1/20 second chronograph measuring up to 24 hours.
A dual-time sub-dial allows easy tracking of home and local time zones. The perpetual calendar automatically accounts for varying leap years and month lengths. Additional complications feature a daily alarm and a light-level indicator meter.

Citizen integrates Perfex technology to ensure absolute operational stability on wrists. Perfex combines Class 1 JIS magnetic resistance, impact detection, overcharge prevention function, and automatic hand correction.
Citizen Attesa Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS F950 Power of Green Flash

The CC4084-83Z model showcases a dramatic black and yellow color aesthetic. The Super Titanium case and bracelet feature a durable Duratect DLC black coating.
Accent treatment on the bezel uses warm Duratect Amber Yellow surface hardening. The dial exhibits a deep green hue created with specialized structural color film.

Light striking the textured dial produces an alluring emerald flash effect. The sapphire glass bezel ring displays city names finished with crisp vapor deposition.
The black Super Titanium bracelet utilizes a 3-fold push-button clasp. Citizen limits production of this model to 1,500 pieces worldwide.
Citizen Attesa Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS F950 Power of Purple Aurora
