Citizen continuously redefines modern mechanical horology through bold material choices and precise engineering. The Japanese manufacturer launched the Citizen Series 8 GMT NB6092-01E Limited Edition to mark a major milestone.
This special release celebrates the 5th anniversary of the revived Series 8 collection. Citizen strictly limits production of this exclusive model to 1,300 pieces worldwide.

Citizen built this masterpiece around a central brand philosophy titled “Heritage Meets Modern”. The watchmakers drew deep inspiration from classical metallurgy and modern high-performance engineering.
They crafted the central case elements using Damascus steel, an ancient material traditionally used for forged swords.
Modern techniques layer stainless steel alloys to replicate the organic, wave-like organic graining of traditional blades. No two pieces share the exact same pattern on their Damascus steel components.
Specification

The stainless steel case measures precisely 41mm in total diameter excluding the crown. It features an overall thickness of 13.5mm, giving the watch a well-proportioned wrist profile.
Citizen equips the case with a solid water resistance rating of 100 meters. This depth rating protects the watch during swimming, light watersports, and daily exposure to moisture.

A sapphire glass with clarity coating protects the intricate dial from scratches and impacts. A see-through exhibition case back reveals the intricate mechanical movement operating inside the timepiece.
A refined black calf leather strap secures the watch comfortably around the wearer’s wrist. The strap features a matching yellow gold-plated stainless steel push-button folding clasp for easy operation. It accommodates wrist circumferences ranging from 145mm to 190mm.
Dial

The watch features a dark black carbon dial with a complex, organic pattern. The Citizen forms this surface by molding randomly arranged carbon fiber strands under high pressure.
This technique ensures that every single dial exhibits a completely unique texture under direct light. Highlighting the dark backdrop, yellow gold-colored hands and applied geometric hour indices sweep across the display.
Luminous material fills the hour hands, minute hand, and hour indices for excellent low-light legibility. A clear date window sits neatly at the 3 o’clock position on the dial face.

The design of the watch is paired with advanced lightweight forged carbon on the dial. A warm yellow gold plating coats the surrounding stainless steel case surfaces.
This combination creates a striking visual contrast between rich gold accents, organic steel patterns, and dark carbon textures. The overall aesthetic delivers a bold luxury sports watch presence with an undeniable artistic identity.
Traveler GMT Movement

Citizen powers this model with the in-house automatic mechanical movement designated Caliber 9054. This caliber qualifies as a genuine traveler GMT, or flyer GMT, movement.
It allows wearers to independently adjust the main hour hand forward or backward in one-hour increments. You can change local time without stopping the seconds hand or shifting the 24-hour hand.
A bidirectional rotating bezel featuring a two-tone 24-hour scale surrounds the sapphire crystal. This functional bezel allows travelers to monitor up to three separate time zones simultaneously.

The self-winding movement operates at a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour across 24 jewel bearings. It provides a reliable power reserve of approximately 50 hours when fully wound.
The Citizen rated the movement for a daily static accuracy between-10~+20 seconds. Caliber 9054 includes Type 2 anti-magnetic resistance up to 16,000 A/m that prevent timekeeping errors caused by nearby electronic devices, smartphones, and tablets.

The Citizen Series 8 GMT NB6092-01E seamlessly combines historical craftsmanship with high-tech materials and functional mechanics.
It offers avid watch collectors a truly unique expression of modern Japanese luxury horology. This watch will be priced at USD 2,200.
