Orient officially expands its famous diver family by introducing the automatic Orient Diver Design GMT or well known for Mako GMT series. This new collection consists of five models: Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0001B (black dial), RA-BC0002E (green dial), RA-BC0003L (navy blue dial), RA-BC0004Y (orange dial), and RA-BC0005L limited edition with blue gradation.

This milestone marks the first time Orient equips the iconic Mako case architecture with dual time functionality. This collection becomes the first Mako GMT watches in this line that features fresh dial.
The collection reimagines classic maritime tool aesthetics into a versatile design built for modern everyday tracking across global time zones.
The overall concept behind the Mako GMT centers on bridging utilitarian aquatic heritage with global tracking versatility.
Specification

The design features a bold stainless steel case with brushed finish. A unidirectional rotating bezel carries a 24-hour scale, rather than a standard 60-minute elapsed diving scale.
The dial presents prominent geometric hour markers filled with rich luminous material for optimal visibility in low light settings.
Broad arrow hands complement a high-contrast GMT hand, creating an instant legibility hierarchy across local and reference times.

The watch features a stainless steel case with silver tone, and stainless steel (black plated bezel) for RA-BC0005L. The diameter of watches is 42.8mm, a thickness of 13.4mm, and a lug-to-lug distance is 49.5mm.
Built for durability, it offers 200 meters of water resistance (not an ISO standard diver’s watch), complemented by a secure screw-down crown and a solid caseback.
The watch is completed by a stainless steel bracelet with trifold deployant buckle, push button and security latch. This timepiece features sapphire crystal to protect the dial.

The watch is powered by in-house automatic (with hand winding) mechanical movement calibre F6P22 and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
Designed for convenience and precision, the movement includes hacking seconds capabilities, along with a quick-set date display positioned at 3 o’clock. This timepiece functions specifically as an Office GMT (also known as a Caller GMT).

Travelers and office workers can effortlessly rotate the bi-directional 24-hour bezel to track home time, office time, or additional time zones without recalibrating local hours.
Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0001B

The reference RA-BC0001B offers an understated, versatile aesthetic. It features a matte deep black dial texture designed to minimize reflections under harsh illumination.
White luminous hour markers and bright silver hands offer high contrast. The unidirectional bezel displays a classic black – gray bezel insert with silver numerals, while a red vivid accent hand adds a sharp pop of color for tracking secondary time zones.
Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0002E

Reference RA-BC0002E introduces a rich forest green tone inspired by deep coastal waters and marine flora.
The dial exhibits a subtle sunburst texture that captures light, transitioning smoothly between dark emerald and bright pine green.
Complementing the dial, the black – green bezel insert maintains monochromatic consistency, while bright polished hands ensure optimal daytime and nighttime legibility.
Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0003L

Reference RA-BC0003L presents a classic maritime aesthetic through its rich navy blue dial. The sunray dial finish mimics sunlight refracting through open sea waters.
A matching black – navy blue 24-hour bezel insert surrounds the face, while a bright red GMT hand provides an immediate visual focal point for swift dual-time reading.
Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0004Y

Reference RA-BC0004Y stands out as the vibrant centerpiece of the core lineup. Inspired by classic saturation diver watch faces, the intense orange dial provides maximum underwater contrast.
The matte orange surface prevents glare, paired with a dark contrasting black – gray bezel insert, yellow GMT hand, and high-visibility luminescent indices.
Orient Mako GMT RA-BC0005L Limited Edition

Reference RA-BC0005L represents the exclusive limited edition model and produced only 4,000 pieces. It features a blue gradation dial that transitions from a light ocean-blue center to a deep navy perimeter, mimicking the depth of deep oceanic trenches.
The model pairs this gradient dial with a two-tone blue and gray 24-hour bezel insert and bright blue GMT hand, making it a standout collector’s item within the Mako legacy.
